Racer House Launches Africa Business Partner Recruitment 2026-10-10 The outside temperature readout on the vehicle dashboard held steady at 47 degrees Celsius. It was recorded by a Racer House business team working in the field in Africa during the dry season — a continent where the heat is intense, and where the local automotive market is heating up just as quickly. Racer House today announced the official launch of its Africa market business partner program, opening the first batch of regional cooperation slots to individuals and teams with the willingness and capability to develop overseas markets. A Market Being Revalued Africa is home to roughly 1.4 billion people but has only about 23 vehicles per 1,000 residents — one of the lowest vehicle penetration rates in the world and, by the same measure, one of the regions with the largest headroom for growth. Because new vehicle prices remain high, used cars have long been the main source of supply. Annual transaction volume already exceeds five million units and is growing at around 15%. Chinese vehicle supply is entering the market faster. Data from the China Automobile Dealers Association shows that in the first half of 2026 China exported 325,000 used commercial vehicles, up 61% year on year, with Africa accounting for 63.7% of the total. Industry bodies expect China's used vehicle exports to Africa to reach around 450,000 units in 2026, up roughly 35%. In terms of demand structure, mainstream transaction prices concentrate in the USD 4,000 to 8,000 range, corresponding to vehicles three to five years old. Pickup trucks, economy sedans and SUVs dominate. Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Angola are currently the largest import markets. "The demand is real, but real demand does not mean just anyone can make it work," said a Racer House representative. "What decides the outcome now is not who can offer the cheapest vehicle, but who can run the entire chain — compliance, vehicle selection, delivery and after-sales — without friction." Rising Thresholds, Rising Value of Professionalisation Market access rules across African countries are tightening, and they differ significantly: Nigeria requires left-hand drive vehicles no more than 10 years old; commercial vehicles must meet Euro IV or above and complete mandatory pre-shipment certification; Kenya requires right-hand drive vehicles no more than 8 years old, with KEBS and CoR certification; Ghana offers tax incentives for new energy vehicles but also sets an 8-year age limit. Racer House Delegation Visits Poland to Expand Used Car Exports to Europe 2026-10-10 A delegation from Racer House, the automotive group based in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China, recently completed a multi-day business trip to Poland, holding in-depth talks with local car dealers and aftermarket service providers on used and new vehicle exports, customs clearance and automotive logistics.
